Proper care for jewelry is always advised. To best maintain your jewelry, avoid water or harsh chemicals. Cleaning the metals of oils or other substances is also beneficial.

Please be mindful that all jewelry and accessories (unless noted) are handmade. While made to last, please still handle them with care.

Our items are mainly made with stainless steel chains and findings- which are highly durable against tarnishing, corroding, rust and water. Compared to other metals commonly used in jewelry, such as alloys made of copper, aluminum, brass, or even silver/gold plated metals, stainless steel wears much slower (or not at all) with proper care. No skin turned green, or rusty, copper-colored chains!
Many pendants, charms, or smaller items on the jewelry are not stainless steel but plated brass, copper or aluminum.

Stainless steel contains very low amounts of nickel compared to brass, copper, or even plated alternatives (common metals often used in jewelry that is more “affordable”), making it a great hypoallergenic option for those with more sensitive skin. The quality of are we there yet products and materials is never sacrificed just for affordability.
In the end, you know your own skin best!

1/1 items are labeled with a specific number, and are unique pieces that will never be exactly recreated or reproduced. these pieces allow myself to be more creatively free and expressive, and generally take much longer time to design and handcraft. 1:1 products also tend to be made with larger quantities of high quality materials, such as genuine pearls, crystals, and glass.

Are we there yet sells only handmade pieces (unless otherwise noted), and the majority of the production process (from designing to packaging) is done by myself- eliminating the additional steps and transportation often practiced by larger brands. Generally, a small business is more ethical than a larger company which solely relies on underpaid & overseas labor, & extensive transportation during the production process, all while damaging the environment.
Our materials are sourced from a wide variety of suppliers- from local stores, to Etsy shops, online wholesalers, and other online small businesses. Additionally, orders ship with carbon neutral shipping through Etsy, and mailed in recyclable and/or recycled polymailers.

Refunds are provided by Etsy (not AWTY) if a package is lost or stolen upon delivery. Are we there yet is not responsible for packages once handed to the United States Postal Service or International postal service.
